Lazarus
It is a dark and gloomy Tuesday. It's almost as if the heaven is about to break and rain down upon us. Fortunately, not a single droplet came. The atmosphere was tense as we anticipate whats coming.
8am, a familiar face comes waltzing in the class, mam olivar. Quite a fierce woman, one of which i'd consider as an "elite" of bsad. We all remembered how much she gave us a hard time in our freshman year. She's well refined on her teaching methods, and i certainly learned a lot in her care.
First day became nerve-wracking, knowing that we will be studying under her again. But this time, its different, she seemed a bit joyful and more approachable than the last time, considering our times with her last year didn't end as well as we hoped. She chatted with us, not as students but a fellow teacher, in that way she hopes to connect better with us. It felt satisfying to be considered as a teacher for the first time, two more years in here and its real.
Since i was in high school, i always looked up to teachers. most students may hate some of them, but deep inside, i know they have the same admiration towards them. I always wonder..
How do they do it?
How are they able to teach us anything at all?
How do lesson plans work?
Mam olivar said that in this subject , we will learn essential teaching methods that work accordingly on a diverse group such as an entire class. In here we will learn and experience what it truly means to be a teacher.
It is certainly interesting to learn how to answer questions which you do not know. I myself got to ask questions to my teachers but i never seem to catch them empty handed even though i dont get a direct answer, its an interesting skill to learn. I also had the realization that being a teacher is no joke, it's either you'll make or destroy your student's future and one must be prepared to sacrifice a lot for this profession. This gave a deeper appreciation of what mam olivar, and every teacher has been doing to educate us all.
