The Procrastinator's Conundrum

When one procrastinates, they tend to live a leisurely life when given a task that is due for next week, or the next month or so, rushing things on the exact night before the deadline. Unfortunately, i'm one of these people... This week,  were supposed to report our own articles and policies regarding ict issues. Last night wasn't exactly pretty,  there was a miscommunication among my group, and worse?  We just realised it the day were about to report. , Although i cant help but feel like im also at fault. I had the urge to get up and volunteer for our individual reports,  but i dont feel like I'm ready yet. Mam olivar started giving us pointers as to how we should report and how simple our powerpoints should be, it was a great relief, at least i would know how we could properly report in class,  this would boost my confidence a bit.  In the end,  i wasn't able to report due to lack of time, its a big relief for us,  now we can actually make o...

The Fire that Ignited the World

Another week,  another Tuesday,  another meeting with Mrs. Olivar, and another blog that has to be submitted. Frankly, I'm getting used to this routine, and this feels like something i will miss when it's all over.. There was a tale in Greek mythology, a titan named Prometheus had a reputation of being a clever trickster. He famously stole fire and brought it down to humanity, along with the gift of metalwork. This act enabled mankind to progress significantly as a civilization. Today, we talked about the new information Communication Technologies that we will have to deal with in our future classes,  we talked about regulations of the usage of ICT, howw we could enforce policies that are fair and just inside the classroom. Teenagers today are so drawn into technology that they dont even know what to do without it. The dependence in technology is quite alarming these days, to the point that we had to reform security and privacy policies because the internet provided m...

The Wizard's Apprentice

A wizard is a knowledgable being,  capable of bending,  twising,  and manifesting elements right before our eyes, as we gaze in awe. A teacher is much like a wizard, but even better, their most powerful weapon are words, because even without all that magical spectacle, they do leave a mark that resonate for a lifetime. But could an apprentice have the same effect as much as it's master? I didn't have a good start for the day, I'm not sure if its because i slept for only 3 hours, or is it because of that bitter coffee i had to endure this morning.. Prior to this day, i already started skimming through the entire CMO no.79 s. 2017 which i accidentally printed,  but now I'm glad i did, i was half ready. Mam olivar came in, it seems like her voice didnt sound well, so she introduced us to a new face. Mr. Rainer is a practice teacher probably under mam olivar's wing. Instead of mam olivar, he's the one who had to discuss about the CMO n. 79 s. 2017 which is a...
