The "Magic" behind illusions
Today is our second unit test, and it was something we never anticipated. The atmosphere in the class is as tense as ever as time ticks into 8am, everyone is gathering and memorizing every bits of information from previous discussions. Everyone was passing out notes, PPTs and were studying in a group, it is quite obvious that most of us didnt study prior to this day, myself included.
It was a relief when the exam came around, we only had to make an outline of a certain literature and were done! Easy right?
Just because its as simple as making an outline doesnt mean it doesnt come with various challenges, mam olivar didnt administer this as a unit test without a reason. We had to take in a myriad of information in a short amount of time, and make it without any erasures, with a limited space on a single short bond paper, so we basically have to shorten pages of literature into one. This exam is proved to be a daunting task, but a relevant one.
My memory of the article is a little vague so I'm writing this blog as soon as possible. I do know that its all about Educational Technology.
Educational technology is basically the use of tangible and intagible technology for the purpose of teaching, it explores various innovations that efficiently improved learning throughout time.
This paper explored various theories, mainly in pedagogical area of teaching, which became a framework for various implementation of technological tools that were used and are presently used today.
Magicians are people who are masters of making an illusion seem 'real' they were able to effectively use various tools for their shows ,which aid them in creating such illusions. combine it with a sleight of hand, and a dextrous mind, and they are able to bend your own reality. Well...for a brief moment at least, and nothing of it is real.
As teachers, we also have our own tools which aid our own shows. And we also must be equipped with sufficient knowledge on how we could utilize these tools. Our audience are the future members of society, and were not showing them any illusions, we are there to give them the reality of our world. And we are also the ones who has to initate them, implore them to do better things, unlock the hidden power that rests within.
"We do not need magic to change the world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves, we have the power to imagine better."
-J.K Rowling
